Meet Alicia Gottschalk!

Hi Alicia! Where are you from?

I was born in Brooklyn, NY but now I live in Queens, NY.

How did you find ZOX?

I found Zox when I saw a picture on a friend's FB page. I checked out the site and bought my first 5 Zox on January 25, 2018. I have never regretted it!

How long have you been a ZOX VIP?

I became a VIP on July 2nd, 2018.
How many ZOX do you have in your collection?
I now have over 3,000 Zox straps and singles. That doesn't include Imperials, Imperial+s, rings or metlets. I wear them all; black stars, white stars, golds, OG white stitch, etc. I have a closet in my woman cave entirely for Zox. You can see it in the picture. I keep the cards in separate holders alphabetically and divided into categories. That is in another photo.
What do you love about VIP?
The best part of VIP is definitely the friends I have made. I enjoy seeing people get happy when they obtain their grails or are able to finish a Season collection.
What do you love about ZOX?
I love how the company donates to amazing organizations. While my husband and I are ourselves philanthropic, it feels good supporting a company which follows our tenet of helping our fellow man.
What's your favorite ZOX and why?
My FAVORITE Zox?? Oh boy, that is a difficult question to answer. It would be a toss-up between the Challenger strap and the RBG strap, Dissent. I did the graphic artwork for the labels on the Challenger spacecraft. I was so proud that my work was going into space. I was listening to the live broadcast with my fellow graphic artists when the Challenger exploded. We all cried like babies.
RBG was and is one of my heroes. She fought for women's rights and we owe a lot to her. I was able to see her gravestone in Arlington National Cemetery.
If you could design your own ZOX, what would be the art and the name of it?
If I could design a Zox it would be Jewish-themed. Star of David, Sabbath candles or a menorah, the word Shalom (Peace) in English and Hebrew. It would be blue and white and called Ahava which means Love.
Which ZOX are you planning on acquiring next?
I would love to get a Bibliophile black star. That is my ultimate grail. Actually 2 of them as I want one for my hubby. His parents were antiquarian book dealers so it would be a great way to honor their memories. They were Holocaust survivors and put their hearts and souls into their business.
