Hi Abel! Where are you from?
I'm technically from Galveston, TX because that's where I was born, but at the time, I live in Pasadena, TX.
How'd you find ZOX?
I had a friend that had liked your main zox page, and it eventually showed up on my news feed as recommended so I clicked to see what it was about and my collection just took off from there haha!
What convinced you to join VIP?
I was told through an email one day to join the zox vip community page on Facebook because it was a great place where you could fit in and meet others with similar stories to me. After joining, I explored and saw all the different designs throughout the company's history, saw events, and seen and read some awesome and inspiring stories.
How long have you been a VIP?
Joined zox vip May 31st, 2021.
What do you love about ZOX & VIP?
What I like most about being VIP is being able see different people's stories, meeting all kinds of new people from around the world, and being able to see all the unique designs and things people have collected through time haha. Also, zox has inspired me, inspired me not only to have such a big collection haha, but also to give compliments, help people more, to be kinder, more sincere and the dailies reminders are the best a good way to get the day started haha.
What's your favorite product so far?
My favorite product would have to be the straps because I love how much of a design you can add on to it, and I love how they have a reverse able. I love to collect watches and so because of that I like to collect wrist bands or things for my wrist if it makes sense and the straps to me are perfect for that haha plus the sizes are great!
When did you start building your collection? What started it all?
I placed my first ever order on February 21st 2021 and what started it all... was well I had spent a large chunk of my life with somebody, being a part of a relationship with someone I really loved and made my world. I put all my time all my energy all of my emotional and physical self into it... I wanted it to succeed and to continue forever but after 7yrs spent together, she left saying she was done and that she wanted to start a chapter in her life. So of course I let her go, it's what she wanted. Who am I to force someone to stay, ya know? Afterwards I had to move back home and I had a very difficult time adjusting to my new life. I could barely sleep or even eat. So many things changed about me good and bad. I stopped doing the things I had loved to do before because I didn't want to be reminded of the pain and depression I felt and still do somewhat to this day. I didn't have anyone to support me emotionally and so I began to fall apart. Some days I could barely get out of bed and I struggled alot at work, to the point it even affected my performance there but one day, I saw zox and I saw the wrist band "begin again" which resonated with me so much at time and I read the story behind it and many others, and little by little, my attitude started changing; my life started taking a different turn. Zox really helped me cope because I knew that everyday they were rooting for me to do well and those daily reminders also helped me because it was nice to see something like that everyday.
If you could design your own product, what would it be?
If I could design my own product.... hmmm it would be a strap that had little speech bubbles in it and the speech bubbles would have little uplifting sayings in them like you can do it or keep pushing forward. I think it would be neat to have a strap that literally motivates you throughout the whole day just by looking at it because it would have different uplifting messages all around it and the saying could be something like "inspired to be motivated" around the lines of something like that haha.
What do you plan on collecting next?
Tbh, probably a mystery pack haha these past 2 months, I have been getting drop specific things only, like the monsters from monster months, the advent calendar, or the hoodies. I figured it'd be nice to get a mystery pack and just see what surprises are inside haha a nice little palette cleanser! :)
