November 4, 2021I lost my heart cat, Rusty, at the end of June 2021. He was my first cat, and the love of my life. I got him when he was only weeks old, and we developed a bond immediately. He was one of five cats, but he was special and he knew it! He was my constant sidekick, and my bed buddy, often snuggling right between my husband and me. Just shy of 10 years old, Rusty developed some debilitating issues that came on quickly and caused him to go downhill fast. Being a vet tech, I knew his time on earth was limited and that I was going to have to soon say goodbye. The day he went to heaven was one of the hardest days of my life. I was (and still am) struggling with the grief of losing my best friend. I had gotten an email from Zox, and on a whim browsed through the catalog, and came upon the Rainbow Bridge band. I immediately ordered (and one for my friend, whose kitty passed two weeks later). I was reduced to tears when it arrived, it was so beautiful! I wear it daily as a reminder that while Rusty is no longer here on earth, I know he’ll be waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge.
