progress not perfection

May 26, 2021
I started my recovery from drugs and alcohol in 2017. I would fall, get back up, fall, get back up, then feel like a failure, which led to more guilt and shame because I felt like I could not get anything right.....then I learned it's progress, not perfection. That SAVED my life. I may have failed, but each day I was making progress. I will never be perfect, so I had to stop having that expectation of myself in all aspects of my life. When I came across the ZOX that said "Progress not Perfection", I knew my higher power had thrown it in front of me on purpose. I did not even know about the little card that came with it! When I got it in the mail, I was so surprised and I carry that card around with me because I know someone is going to need it just as much as I did. Thank you for my great reminder I see on my wrist everyday!
