Mahalo *Beaches* As I sit on the beach and watch the waves tumble gently to the shore, I reflect on days gone by and wonder about days anew. I see a child building a sand castle and I think the golden days of my youth have washed away my innocence. I know as each new dawn breaks, the days to come will have so much to offer if I just reach out and let them wash over me. Each day will be unique just as each tiny grain of sand is different from those around it. The days to come will be like the waves during different seasons. Some will tumble gently while others will crash and break leaving rubble strewn in their wake. Each awakening will have meaning and be a new learning experience. Just as the sand dollar washes upon a new morning shore, I too will find myself in a new place, a new time, a new experience. I must live life just as the waves must break. Oblivious to my thoughts and propriety, the young child runs nakedly from her mother and I see innocence is always there. We just have to open our eyes to it. As I calmly watch the shore I wonder what reward each new day holds in store for me. Happiness, wealth, fame, love? Then I realize that as long as the days follow the tide and continue to lap against time, life will have meaning whether it be reason or rhyme. I smile and I watch the waves gently tumble upon the shore. @Tsegi Circa 1995 Thank you for this beautiful reminder Nathan Pinney
