Meet  Robin Jeanne Grignon!

Hi Robin! Where are you from?

Born in Boston and have been in Albany, NY since 1977

How’d you find ZOX?

I kept seeing an ad on Facebook for the You Are Enough strap. I looked at the site a few times and then finally in June 2020, I got my daughter it and a few more straps. I didn’t get myself one until July 7 that was Progress Not Perfection.

When did you join VIP?

July 2020

How is VIP special to you?

My favorite thing is the Zox community. I was welcomed with open arms and have made so many new friends. People are actually there for you and care. There is so much comfort felt here and I am never afraid to share. This is an extended family that I didn't know that I needed.

What does your collection consist of?

5 binders and a jewelry holder. It is close to 500 now.  I have a little bit of everything. I have all 11 season 3 straps, moonstones, pins. I have everything from July on. I have many older straps, but not OG old.

How do you decide what to collect?

I need to like the meaning behind the design. There are very few that do not speak to me. MP's have given me quite a few white stars, but the black stars are my 2 gold bars

What do you love about ZOX?

I love looking down at my wrists and knowing the inspiration is there. There is a complete sense of comfort.

What do you look for when choosing your next ZOX?

I love seeing everyone's #ZOTD, so many Zox I have never seen and want. I look for the colors, words & designs that speak to me.

Which ZOX speaks to you the most?

Warrior. My amazing Dad was diagnosed with glioblastoma last July and sadly, we lost him March 7, 2021. I was his biggest warrior fighting for him to live. I still wear it to give me strength and to support my fellow Zoxer's fighting cancer or have family/friends fighting cancer. It is a powerful strap that gives me hope. I also love You're not alone, I need that reminder. Being home during this pandemic has been tough mentally.

Which ZOX do you plan on getting next?

I was able to get my ultimate grail, Challenger, in an auction and am awaiting its arrival. I graduated in 1986 when Challenger exploded and watched it at school. So tragic, but such a beautiful strap. I am hoping to get a black star in an MP sooner than later. BeYe Transformed is an ultimate grail, it is so beautiful. My daughter Nicole Jeanne usually helps me get my ISO's! She got me Warrior, Light it up, move mountains, direction straps. Actually a lot of cool stuff. It is amazing what a little wristband can do to change your life, mood, thinking in general.

Thank you, Robin, for sharing!! Your pictures are amazing, and we hope you get a black star in an MP soon!!

Keep an eye out for more of your friends to be featured soon!

Be bold,

Landri
