How'd you find ZOX?

I found it accidentally while playing around on Facebook years ago. I really loved what I saw, so joined the page to keep seeing more. Despite wanting one for quite awhile, I only ‘dove in’ earlier this summer!

What do you love about ZOX?

The straps are amazing…vibrant colours and great designs! I love that I can flip through my binder and choose a message that suits what I need that day…and then wear a standout piece of art on my wrist while also getting something my soul needs to be reminded of. I get lots of compliments on them! I love that I can buy matching straps for my daughter to wear that have such positive and reinforcing messages for her to grow with. Finally, the community is a totally awesome surprise you find when you get into ZOX. I was expecting to buy some cool straps to wear (which helps me build a fun ‘jewelry’ collection while being allergic to nickel), but then started getting to know some really great people! I’ve met a few that have helped me build my collection with older straps, and have enjoyed some fun conversation along the way. I love that ZOX feels like a motivating club!

When did you join VIP?

I joined during this past summer. I loved my first strap so much that I knew there would be many more to follow. When I got the invite, I figured ‘why not?’ and checked it out. Totally worthwhile!

What was your first ZOX?

It was my Sherlock Holmes one! I am a teacher and a writer…so that one specifically called to me. It will ALWAYS be a favorite as my first. Fun Fact: I actually ended up buying it twice, because I lost the first plastic card and couldn’t handle my collection being incomplete haha! Now, I have two straps and one card.

Are you building a collection?

Oh, absolutely! I love the collectible aspect of ZOX. My collection is all ones I would wear (nothing is too sacred!) and any duplicates I get are to be gifted. My first binder is almost complete, and then they’ll start spilling over into my second binder. I have a couple of lanyards too, and one of the rings…some charms. I expect this to slowly keep growing!

If you could name a ZOX after yourself, but it couldn't be your name, what would it be called?

Moon River Drifter... I am a definite Sinatra fan!

What are you hoping to see released in the future of ZOX?

A rerelease of the Game Over strap would be amazing! I’m a lifelong Zelda fan and those empty heart containers are my personal unicorn. I’d also totally buy shoelaces or zipper pulls. The patches are great…I’d love to see more of those that match with straps. I want to get more charms, so a zombie one would be wonderful! I’d also get something of a pillbox-style organizer to keep all these small pieces that don’t fit into a binder.

What do you plan on getting next?

Hard to say! I signed up for the monthly mysteries, so that will be a fun way to keep building my collection. I’m a blog member too…so will keep on getting any of the weekly releases that I connect with. I already bought my second binder…so have lots of space to grow into! As for the ‘why’…it’s simple…I love them!
