you're going to be okay

April 12, 2021
I have spent pretty much all summer in the Hospital, I was very sick and a team of doctors were concerned I would not survive. (I had a bowel obstruction with adhesions, a infection, it was bad). One day, on the few days I was home this summer, my daughter gave me a bracelet, elastic, slip-on, so I put it on. I haven’t taken it off yet, but here’s the great part, one day they were trying to get another IV in because my previous IV the vein had blown. After being poked about 4 times trying to get it in, a nurse asked if I could either pull up my bracelet or take it off. It came from my daughter who I adore so I wasn’t taking it off, as I pulled it up I realized there was writing on the back. I read it, and during a very scary and stressful time, I read “You’re Going To Be Okay!!!" For the first time in weeks, I smiled and felt like I’d be okay😊
