warrior

October 12, 2021
When I lost my grandfather close to a month ago, I knew I had to find a zox I can wear in his honor. The warrior zox was made for cancer awareness and has all the cancer ribbon colors in full display. But what caught my eye was the flip side. Warrior being written over a white and purple ribbon. Why do these colors call me you may ask? So, my grandfather has battled 4 types of cancer but it was the last one that took him from my family and I, lung cancer which is represented by a white ribbon. Where does the purple come in? Sarcoidosis. My mother has been battling Sarcoidosis for years, longer than I can remember really. Purple also stands for mental health awareness. When I was 14 i lost my uncle to mental health. The pink ribbon on the back stands for my aunt who has been battling breast cancer for years as well. The orange for ADHD which I have struggled with my entire life and the whole rainbow of colors for my passion which is teaching individuals with autism. So all together this strap means that my family and I are warriors! And it's just a little reminder I can wear on my wrist that when asked about it, I will share my stories and my love of my family. I can honestly say that I hate cancer but have learned so much through the years about it. I love you papa and I miss you so much, let your story fly on as you have inspired me so much time for you to inspire the world
