though she be but little
September 10, 2019I am but a grandparent raising her two beautiful granddaughters. Came across this site on FB and was instantly sucked in by your mission. I have always loved wearable art and when I saw the messages AND your mission, I was hooked. Then as I started to get acclimated with the community, I couldn't believe how kind and welcoming it was...something that's rare on social media. So one day as I was celebrating National Rare Disease day for my 3rd and youngest granddaughter, Blake Evelyn, the very next day you featured the "though she be but little, she is fierce" strap. I couldn't believe it. My granddaughter was born with a very rare form of dwarfism called MOPD type II. She is currently 2 yrs old, 17 inches tall and 7lbs. There are about 100 of these amazing individuals in the world. Sadly, their life expectancy is short but we celebrate every single day she brightens our and others lives. She has proven to us that small can be mighty and she has touched so many lives with her incredible will and personality. What was most impressive was when I received a handmade strap made specifically for Blake. I cried the day I received them and couldn't believe Zox did this for her. We were so eternally grateful for Zox's extremely kind gesture. She has battled through some touch health issues but miraculously comes back stronger than ever. She is truly a gift from the Lord as they all are and she continues to touch lives. Through her story I have met so many other incredibly kind individuals in this community as well.
