smooth seas

My step dad has been a dad to me for nearly 40 years, marrying my mom when I was 3. I don't remember life without him. Among many other things, he taught me how to navigate on our local lakes and rivers, and I grew to love being on the water. When I saw the Smooth Seas strap, I picked it up right and let him know it reminded me of him. Later, as he was battling health issues, I ordered two Persistence singles and two Stand for What You Believe In singles- for him, my sister, and me. Sadly, Dad passed away before my order arrived, so I gave the Persistence strap to my mom. Occasionally, when I'm wearing one of them, I text my mom or sister to let them know I'm thinking of them as we all navigate our storms of grief. It helps.
