seize the day

January 19, 2020
I had just had surgery to remove part of my lung, due to cancer and was having a difficult time. I had quit my job, which I had been at for 12 years, and had quit smoking, which I had been doing for 42 years. I was looking for a new job, I am an RN, this should not be as difficult as it turned out to be, and had been unable to find a job in psychiatric nursing, my specialty. I was on facebook and saw an ad for Zox straps and it had a little blurb about every strap bought supplies clean water for others, so I went to the site to check it out. I was immediately drawn to "Seize the Day" strap, being a massive fan of the movie Dead Poet's Society, and bought it, with the few dollars I had left in my account. I wore the strap every day, going to interviews, sitting around recovering, whatever I was doing. It felt good to have a positive sentiment with me at all times, as I was becoming very discouraged. I found a job, after 6 months, and am now the proud owner of many straps and part of a fab community of people that care without expectations. This has meant the world to me and has gotten me through more than 1 rough patch. I gave the "Protect and Serve" strap to my son (a police officer) and he wears it every time he works, since I told him that it was a "hug for his wrist" as y'all say. This community and company are awesome, and I am so glad to be a part the fam!
